ABSTRACT

The results of laboratory tests of masonry wallettes subjected to cyclic compression normal and parallel to bed joints are presented in this paper. The influence of the direction of loading on the σ = σ (ε) relationship and basic mechanical parameters was analysed. The paper also describes the modes of failure of the tested elements.
