MODELING OF THE CONTROLLED TRACTION POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN THE SPACE-TIME COORDINATES

The problems of the traction power supply system calculation are considered in the article. The authors proposed the space-time model, which is based on the analytical functions of the current- and voltage-drop distributions in the contact network. The usage of the proposed model is shown for the control law calculation both to stabilize the voltage at the pantographs of the electric rolling stocks and to reduce the power losses.

ANALYSIS OF FORMING TREAD WHEEL SETS

This paper shows the results of a theoretical study of profile high-speed grinding (PHSG) for forming tread wheel sets during repair instead of turning and mold-milling. Significant disadvantages of these methods are low capacity to adapt to the tool and inhomogeneous structure of the wheel material. MODEL TO CALCULATE THE OPTIMAL MODE OF TRAIN LOCOMOTIVES TURNOVER

Summary. A model to calculate the optimal work modes of train locomotives while serving train flows is proposed. The model is a further development of the dynamic transportation problem. Parameters of train movement and locomotive utilization are published. Both locomotive turnover and train schedules are produced. Useful utilization of locomotives increases from 70% to 90–95%. This allows the reduction of several thousands of train locomotives.

THE INFLUENCE OF SELECTED GASEOUS FUELS ON THE COMBUSTION PROCESS IN THE SI ENGINE

Summary. This paper presents the results of SI engine tests, carried out for different gaseous fuels. The analysis carried out made it possible to define the correlation between fuel composition and engine operating parameters. The tests covered various gaseous mixtures: methane with hydrogen from 5% to 50% by volume and LPG with DME from 5% to 26% by mass.
