Exeley entered a partnership with Portico, a digital preservation service for electronic content that cooperates with publishers and libraries all around the world.

Portico was launched by JSTOR and Ithaka, with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Library of Congress as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve scholarly records. With nearly 1000 libraries from 14 countries and more than 400 publishers, including 2,000 scholarly associations participating in Portico today, the Portico archive is among the largest community-supported digital archives in existence. The repository contains tens of thousands of e-journals, e-books, and other electronic content, replicated to ensure their security and to provide long-term archival management and format migration as needed.
