Improving sand flow rate measurement using the wavelet transform and ultrasonic sensors

ensure that the sand production is less than the allowable limit for each specific field. To correctly apply sand prevention and sand management techniques, accurate sand flow rate measurement is necessary. It is reported that the major concern of the operators about sand flow rate measuring devices available in the market is their poor measurement accuracy (Emiliani et al., 2011).
