CLUSTER HEAD ELECTION MECHANISM-BASED ON FUZZY LOGIC (CHEF) WITH TDMA IN WSN

the network, even the cluster head is elected according to check their residual energy considerable amount of energy will drain automatically to overcome this drawback by considering the protocol a fuzzy logic approach is used to elect the cluster head based on three descriptors-energy, centrality & distance and second CH is elected according to TDMA to overcome the data lost during energy drain occur in the CH .NS-2 simulation shows that proposed protocol provides higher energy efficiency. This

A Hybrid MAC Mechanism for Multiple Load Intelligent Vehicle Transportation Network

The Media Access Control (MAC) mechanism of intelligent vehicle communication network meets a new challenge due to the multiple load data traffic and high speed mobility. This paper proposes a hybrid MAC mechanism which takes the advantages of both TDMA and CSMA mechanism. This hybrid mechanism is based on TDMA, while CSMA mechanism is added in time slots to improve the slot utilization in both high and low load networks. Through the simulation in NS2 we compare the results of the hybrid MAC

A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS ON SIZING OF SOLAR ENERGY HARVESTER ELEMENTS FOR WIRELESS SENSOR MOTES

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have limited lifetime due to on board battery. The lifetime can be improved by energy harvesting solutions. In this paper the solar energy harvester requirements for TelosB mote has been analyzed and calculated. Photovoltaic (PV) panel and battery sizing requirements are calculated by assuming that the mote follows SMAC and TDMA-MAC schedule for image communication. The calculations are validated by comparing it with the parameters calculated from the real time
