Epidemiology, Drug Resistance, and Virulence of Staphylococcus aureus Isolated from Ocular Infections in Polish Patients

Introduction Bacteria are considered as the main contributor to ocular infections all over the world (Teweldemedhin et al. 2017). In the study by Long et al. conducted between 1990–2009, the most frequently isolated bacteria from ocular infections were Gram-positive cocci (41.9%) (Long et al. 2014).
