THE APPLICATION OF RELIABILITY REALLOCATION MODEL IN TRAFFIC SAFETY ANALYSIS ON RURAL ROADS

approach to road safety management. It is necessary to constantly monitor, analyze, and compare the states of traffic safety for the purpose of developing and improving measures for increasing the level of traffic safety. The road accident frequency has traditionally been the subject of a large number of research works, with a number of different methodological approaches to the prevention of the road accident occurrence in the previous period [5]. There are a few aspects of the analysis of the road

DRIVING STYLE ANALYSIS AND DRIVER CLASSIFICATION USING OBD DATA OF A HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

Ensuring the effectiveness of adaptive algorithms for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) requires online recognition of driving styles. The article discusses studies carried out during real driving cycles based on the GPS parameters and OBD system data of a hybrid vehicle. The work focuses on the search for measures of the speed and acceleration signals of the car and the measures determined on their basis that best describe the driving style responsible for the vehicle traffic safety

INFLUENCE OF SOCIAL CAMPAIGNS PROMOTING USE OF SAFETY BELTS AND CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: RESULTS OF SURVEY ON ROAD USERS BEHAVIOUR REGARDING RESTRAINTS

This article focuses on road traffic safety in Poland, where the risk of serious injury and death in accident has remained high. We present examples of campaigns on the use of seat belts and child restraints system between 2005 and 2015 promoting positive behaviour in road traffic. Results of self-reported data from survey in real traffic on vehicles’ road user’s behaviour due to the usage of protective equipment between 2014-2016 were collected and analysed. The scientific achievement of the

EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION OF PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL PERFORMANCE OF A SELECTED FLIGHT PERSONNEL AND SW: PRESURVEY FOR TRANSPORT SAFETY

Flight personnel have various factors that cause high psychological stress during the performance of flight tasks, thereby influencing their psycho-physiological experience, which may be a cause of a breach of air traffic safety. The paper presents the results of an experimental verification of task management under load, which allowed selection of probands from a sample of 100 participants in the presurvey. Overall, 70% of the probands achieved better results than the minimum level of success

Speed Compliance in Freeway Variable Speed Limit System – Case Study of the Prague City Ring

Many previous studies have confirmed the strong relationship between speed compliance and the frequency and severity of traffic accidents. Variable speed limit (VSL) system as a measure to improve traffic safety enables the freeway system to change its posted speed limit based on various traffic and environmental conditions. Such system helps drivers to recognize the upcoming events, to adjust their driving style and in such way to address speed variation of the traffic flow. This is called
