For the nonlinear vibration signal of stayed cables, a new particle filter algorithm is used in this paper. Firstly, nonlinear dynamic model of the stayed-cable and beam coupling system is dispersed in temporal dimension by using the finite difference method. So the discrete nonlinear vibration equation of any cable element is gotten. And secondly, a state equation of particle filter is fitted by least square algorithm from the discrete nonlinear vibration equation. So the particle filter

A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) accelerometer based on fiber vibrating wire is presented. Finite element analysis has been done and experiments are carried out to demonstrate the performance of this FBG accelerometer. The seismic simulation experimental results indicate that the system has a good response to the 50–400 Hz vibration signal. What more, the accelerometer has a high sensitivity which can reach 108.6 pm/G at 100Hz. The linear responsivity and repeatability are also tested. The

This paper presents an on-line tool wear condition monitoring system for milling. The proposed system was developed taking the cost and performance in practice into account, in addition to a high success rate. The cutting vibration signal is obtained during the cutting process, and then extracting features using time-domain statistical and wavelet packet decomposition algorithms. It would result in two major disadvantages if creating a tool wear states identification model based on all
